The four options (Ellansé™-S, Ellansé™-M, Ellansé™-L, and Ellansé™-E) differ from each other only in their duration of performance, which ranges from 12 months up to 4 years. The primary component of Ellansé™ is polycaprolactone (PCL) in the form of totally smooth microspheres, which are homogenously suspended in an aqueous carboxy-methyl cellulose (CMC) gel-carrier.
The uniquely distinguishing characteristic of Ellansé, which creates the Tunable Longevity, is the initial polymer chain length of the PCL microspheres. Varying this initial polymer chain length is the basis of the Tunable and Predictable Longevity for the 4 different Ellansé Family products.
